Setting up the Salesforce Connector
The Salesforce Connector is what enables the bidirectional sync of Salesforce Objects (Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Users, Tasks, Campaigns and Opportunities) with INBOX25. Before you set up the Connector, it is a good idea to understand the API limitations inherent to Salesforce’s platform. Read more about that here before you begin.
The first step is to navigate to INBOX25’s Integrations section.
Once there, select the Salesforce section.
You will be taken to the login page for the Connector.
You will need Administrator credentials to ensure there are no permission issues with accessing campaigns for all users as well as a security token for your account.
Where can I find my security token?
Your Salesforce security token should have been emailed to you when you set up your Salesforce account or the last time you reset your password. If you are unable to find this email, you will need to reset the token. How to reset it will differ depending on whether or not your administrator has updated your Salesforce to the new layout released in Q3 2013.
If you are on the older version:
Navigate within Salesforce to [Your Name] > Setup > Personal Information > Reset Security Token
If you are on the newer version:
Navigate within Salesforce to [Your Name] > My Settings > Personal > Reset My Security Token. Once you have entered your credentials and security token, click connect.
Configuring the Salesforce Connector
Now that INBOX25 is connected to Salesforce, you may proceed to select which Object types you wish to sync. For more information, read here.
