The INBOX25 + Salesforce integration allows you to execute 1:1 email campaigns from INBOX25 to Salesforce Campaign Lists. INBOX25 will automatically import and process records that exist on your Campaign List(s) in Salesforce, send out your email from our platform and then write activity stats (opens, clicks, bounces, opt-outs) directly to your Salesforce campaign. This ensures that allow activity related to the campaign and the specific target or lead is maintained and stored in your CRM.
To get started, you'll need to connect INBOX25 to Salesforce.
Navigate to: Settings --> Integrations --> Salesforce [Enable Connector]
You will need Administrator credentials to ensure there are no permission issues with accessing campaigns for all users as well as a security token for your account.
Where can I find my security token?
Your Salesforce security token should have been emailed to you when you set up your Salesforce account or the last time you reset your password. If you are unable to find this email, you will need to reset the token. How to reset it will differ depending on whether or not your administrator has updated your Salesforce to the new layout released in Q3 2013.
If you are on the older version:
Navigate to [Your Name] > Setup > Personal Information > Reset Security Token
If you are on the newer version:
Navigate to [Your Name] > My Settings > Personal > Reset My Security Token
Once you have entered your credentials and security token, click connect.
Step 1. Setting up INBOX25 fields for Leads & Contacts
From the top row of your Salesforce account, click on Setup. When the Setup panel loads, you will need to expand the menu under Customize --> Leads --> Fields as well as Customize --> Contacts --> Fields
For both Leads and then Contacts you will need to add two custom fields with the following values:
Step 2. Creating your Campaign in SalesForce
Start by logging into Salesforce, navigating to your Campaigns tab and create a new Campaign.
Once you create your new campaign and associate members with it, proceed to Advanced Setup.
From Advanced Setup you will be presented with several default values, which will need to be set as follows:
Sent (check Default), Responded (check Responded), Unsubscribe, Bounced, Opened and Clicked.
Tip: In order to avoid doing this each time you create a campaign, we recommend doing it once and then leveraging the 'Clone' button on your Campaign to create future campaigns. In other words, you'll be creating a template for future Campaigns.
Step 3. Creating your Campaign in INBOX25
There are two simple steps to executing a Salesforce Email Campaign from INBOX25.
The first step is to select the Salesforce Campaign you want to sync your INBOX25 campaign with on Step 1. of our Campaign Wizard.
After you select your Salesforce campaign, continue through our Campaign Wizard and build your email message. Once the creative portion is built and tested you will be directed to select recipients for your campaign. INBOX25 will automatically select your entire Salesforce Campaign List, just confirm and continue to the next step.
Now you can complete your final testing on Step 4.1 of the campaign wizard and proceed to scheduling your campaign. Once your campaign is scheduled, INBOX25 will extract the latest version of your Salesforce Campaign List and deploy your email message.
Statistics like opens, clicks, bounces, etc. will begin writing to Salesforce as those actions are tracked in INBOX25.
