We have now added a template to our Email Campaign Wizard that will comply with the new CASL (Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation). So for our Canadian clients, as well as clients marketing to our neighbors to the north, this is for you.
Under our default template builder, the last template at the bottom (the one with a green check mark on it) is the template to use to comply with the CASL regulations. On the image below, it's circled in green.
For Pro Marketers
If you add this type of link ( http://www.mywebsite.com/#CASL) to the green button in the email, you will be able to do a Campaign Activity Condition for the URL and move leads to a status of inactive if they do not click the link, and in the alternative you can add them to a segment or Target List if they do click the link. This is a quick solution for users who do not have a form or specific page to send leads to, but still want to collect the affirmative approval of a user to continue emails. The #CASL is an anchor tag that will work universally with any site/browser but it will allow you to track it as a unique URL, even though there is no page.
