So you or a colleague just logged a call, or updated a data field for your record, or perhaps you just manually input a record into SugarCRM. You log into INBOX25 and create an automated workflow, or a lead-scoring rule or wanted to dynamically add this record to a Target List perhaps. But wait! The record hasn't been picked up by INBOX25. So you run a manual sync and the record gets picked up.
Question: Why does the updates to the database only get picked up when I run a manual sync?
Solution: The SymSync tool supports a real-time integration with SugarCRM. In order for SymSync to work properly, the INBOX25 module needs to be installed and configured on every Sugar user that is creating or deleting record data. This also includes Sugar users who are updating records, whether it be logging an activity (meetings, calls, opportunities) or changing the values of a data field.
What does this mean?
Well, typically when using INBOX25, the admin Sugar user will install the INBOX25 module, which will then enable the module to be selected by other Sugar users. When a Sugar user clicks on the module, they would then be taken to the setup wizard, shown here:
If you click on the INBOX25 module in your Sugar navigation panel and you see this screen, then the module has not been configured.
*Configured: The INBOX25 module setup wizard has been completed.
Solution: Every Sugar user who is making changes to your SugarCRM, will need the INBOX25 module installed and configured. You can create an INBOX25 sub user for them if you wish them to use the INBOX25 platform. You can also configure the module with the INBOX25 admin credentials, and use SugarCRM permissions to hide the INBOX25 module to the particular SugarCRM user.
