At INBOX25 we pride ourselves on providing the only built-in marketing cloud package for the SuiteCRM ecosystem. With the latest release of SuiteCRM 7.10 our product team invested months pouring over customer feedback to develop requirements for our next generation SuiteCRM module (4.8.8). We focused specifically on usability and maximizing our original concept of 'built-in' and what that should mean to the daily CRM users.
After nearly 6 months of planning, development and testing we are pleased to announce the release!
- Campaign Module
- Built-in Reporting and Analytics
- Timeline + Vision A.I.
- Less clicks, more function.
- Simplified CRM Installation and Configuration
- Enhanced User Permissions and Access
- Upgrading to v4.8.8
One common pain-point that SuiteCRM users have frequently expressed is the limited functionality of Suite's native Campaign module. We are often asked why the INBOX25 Email Wizard couldn't be a drop-in replacement for the Suite campaign wizard. It's a good question and a great idea. In v4.8.8 we not only built-in our Email Wizard, but also our Drip Campaign Wizard, Social Campaign Wizard and our Automation Wizard. Each just one click away from the native Campaign module in SuiteCRM.
In addition to the Campaign module enhancements our new NextGen Email Wizard is also available in v4.8.8, which also includes A/B split testing.
Built-in Reports and Analytics
Our most popular reports are now built into the Suite interface and navigation. Our latest module also includes new framework that will make it very seamless to expand our one-click reporting collection in Suite. So stay tuned.
Timeline + Vision A.I.
The most frequently accessed tool in our Suite module package has been the built-in Timeline report for Prospects, Leads, Contacts and Accounts. By far. Sales agents love the data points and the quick access.
In 4.8.8 we have updated the sub-panel for our Timeline report to match the new styling and responsive framework of Suite's latest UI. Our previous framework was largely based on the framework that was originally developed for SugarCRM Community Edition.
We also introduced a new tab for Vision, our new A.I. data platform is now available with one click from any Prospect, Lead, Contact or Account. Now your sales folks can retrieve a 360-degree profile of their lead or customer right from their CRM view.
Less clicks, more function.
In keeping with our theme of reducing clicks, enhancing usability and maximizing our 'built-in' methodology we expanded our offering of direct access features. With direct access a CRM user is not required to navigate to our main Suite module and then proceed to navigate within our module frame and panel. Instead, the user can access these features directly from the Suite navigation panel.
Features available directly from Suite's navigation:
- Automation and Journey Builder
- Email Wizard
- Drip Campaign Wizard
- Social Campaign Wizard
- Landing Page and Form Builder
- Reports and Analytics
- and more...
Simplified CRM installation and configuration.
In v4.8.8 we have simplified the module setup and configuration process. Our previous generation modules required that the module package be configured for every user. We've changed that approach in favor of a single configuration being universally applied to each user. Administrators only need to install and setup the module once and it will apply to each user automatically.
What about permissions and access?
Our approach to handling permissions in the module has also been streamlined. One of many unique approaches that INBOX25 has taken with Suite is to replicate the data structure and permissions for records from SuiteCRM. This effectively means that we can apply individual contact permissions in INBOX25 based on the assigned to value in Suite.
Mapping CRM users to INBOX25 users
Moving forward, what your CRM users have access to in the INBOX25 module will depend on their permission configuration in INBOX25.
In the example below Alan Greenfield is an INBOX25 user and his user account is mapped to Test Account, a SuiteCRM user.
The SuiteCRM user 'Test Account' will be limited to access features of the INBOX25 module in SuiteCRM based on the access rights that Alan Greenfield is assigned. You can also restrict Alan Greenfields access within INBOX25 and our module, to only records that he is assigned to in Suite (shown below).
Default - No Mapping to an INBOX25 user
In the default configuration a CRM user that is not mapped to an INBOX25 user will only have limited access to the Timeline Report for CRM records that they're permitted to view. They will not have access to any other feature or function of the INBOX25 module.
Assigning User Access via SymSync Dashboard
Module and/or INBOX25 user access can be defined in the SymSync dashboard via the User's module tab. User's module must be enabled in order to configure permissions. Clicking on the highlighted value will prompt a pop-up for users to determine whom may be an admin of INBOX25, whom may have no access, access only to the Timeline Report, or assigning a CRM user to their corresponding INBOX25 sub-user. Note that assigning the level of platform access (i.e no access, assigning as admin, Timeline Only) is only applicable to the user's level of access via the CRM iframe.
